Yes, Christmas is over. You are back at work and we are figuring out what will keep the kids amused and occupied while they are on school vacation. Karen and David are back at work and will be off on New Year's weekend. David's sister Katie drove down from Big Sky, Montana with Anna (one month older than Isabel) and Sam (4 or 5, the youngest of the Horst clan). Her husband is literally minding the store -- a sports equipment store in the height of ski season. Scott and Michelle's two girls make it a lively sextet of cousins here.
On Sunday evening we brought out the Bananagrams. Katie took to the game immediately and won the first four games. then we had a shift of players (keeping it to four players at a time). Nick learned to play and won his second game. We all had great fun with it --with much enthusiasm. You would have loved it.
