Of course---this is the Rev. Alan Johnson, liberal minister. Amazing, but there are a few of those around---you know the kind who will listen to all sorts of viewpoints. After a few wanderings in life, he became the Chaplain to Denver Children's Hospital. Now he is married to a minister--and bakes bread, especially biscotti for a living. He has a book in the works, something about the ministry and baking bread.
After befriending us, and moving on, he performed the wedding ceremony for Lucia and Thaddeus. He came to visit us recently, while also visiting our mutual friend Martha Porter, now aged 94. We took Martha out to dinner recently with other friends, and I hit my THIRD DEER for the winter. The insurance guy in Hartford said dolefully that this is covered under the portion of your insurance that covers Acts of God. I don't think Alan had anything to do with it.
