Charlie and I saw Alan Johnson in December. We went to Boulder First Congregational Church where Alan's wife, Martie, is the minister. Pat Horst is a member there. As we expected, Alan went to the coffee after church. We had a pleasant conversation, shortened because there were other people who were waiting to talk with Alan. He really connects with people and that is why he went to work in a bread shop instead of retiring to an ivory tower. He asked if Malcolm is still First Selectman. It is nice that you (L&M) got to renew your friendship and catch up on news of interim years.
